What we do

FILM SKILLS TRAINING AND FREELANCE BUSINESS ENTERPRISE

We run free filmmaking projects for young people people not in education, training or employment, from a range of ages, backgrounds and abilities in our locality and beyond. After learning hands-on technical craft skills, they write their own script, film on industry level equipment, crew, act and edit. The projects are under-pinned by business wisdom training for free lancers and self-employment, provided by experts at Tree Shepherd, and enhanced by our employment key workers building CV writing and interview skills. A unique selling point of our courses is the opportunity to gain paid work experience in the film industry as the first step onto the career ladder. Through our established networks we continue to provide employment opportunities for trainees for 36 months and beyond. We respond to requests from local businesses and charities to create promotional film and video content working with our trainees and alumni in Lambeth Walk Films, our emerging youth production unit.

We offer an extensive range of AQA Unit Awards in Film, Media and Employability Skills.

In the school holidays we offer short film and craft design projects to local children, and young carers.

DESIGN CRAFTS & BUSINESS ENTERPRISE

We also facilitate media, design crafts & business enterprise workshops and courses, working with a range of ages, backgrounds and abilities. From time to time we open our doors to local residents of all ages and abilities for free collaborative wellbeing projects in mosaic and ceramic.
